ZOMG! "Walking Out" trailer is out :D
... and it looks soooooooooooooo awesome. Whump galore *squee* GSW and hypothermia and snow everywhere and why couldn't the kid be his brother so that I could only do a simple head transplant for Peter, LOLOL...

ETA: As usual, LJ is being stupid and won't let me embed the vid, soo... LINK

Notice the beautiful breathtaking eyes in those close-ups... also, I think the snow makes his hair even fluffier than usual, LOL... and the silver scruff...

Also, only 9 days to go until The Last Tycoon \o/ *flail*

If I remember right, he said right in the beginning, that the boy needs to go alone and he stays there. But the boy refused to go. And he also couldn't have droven the car anyway. So in my eyes the Dad basically sacrifices himself for his son's life. I think he knew. It is only logically - the more you move, the more blood you will lose. You need to stay put and keep pressure off that leg. And you need to keep it elevated properly. When dragging him, all the blood is going down. It needs to go up, to the heart.

It's a pretty sad story if you think about it :(

It reallllly is pretty heart-breaking, and I somehow think it may be even more so with it "extended" (somehow or other) on-screen. I think he knew he had to go as long as he could, but... I don't know if he thought it would definitely kill him at the time, or if he realized it for sure later, when it took them so long to get to help :-( Either way, it's really sad.

What's even sadder if you think about it - he dies not knowing whether it was worth it. Whether his son made it or not. Imagine that :(

I think "The Normal Heart" has some serious tissue competition here!

So, kanarek13, now after this conversation I had with sherylyn, you probably really never will read the story.

Sorry for using your LJ as a personal messaging space!

Yeah, that's very true. Yeesh.

LOL I don't think she would have read it anyway, so I don't know that we did any significant damage, thankfully! ;-)
