Oy, LJ...
I finally imported my entire LJ to Dreamwidth... I have a feeling things are about to go down the drain for LJ, so I need to become as friendly as possible with DW as soon as possible... But there are things about DW which annoy me to no end (like I can't even make the stupid toolbar in rich text editor appear in Chrome... or can't find the options I'm looking for...). I know it's mostly a matter of getting used to it but the whole thing is just MEH...

I want to make the migration smooth, so it's gonna take me a while, but my goal is to slowly drift away from LJ until we are all happily settled in our new DW home and only vaguely remember that old LJ place :P. So, for starters, I'm not sure how many of you actually have a DW account. Recreating the flist on DW sounds like a good starting point, so please, either friend me on DW or comment here so we can find each other over there :D

I think my next step will be migrating my journal style (... but that needs to happen when I have some free time. And I will still probably end up running to[personal profile] elrhiarhodan or[personal profile] angelita26 for help :P

And this is my first crosspost from DW \o/

You should check out the Beta page - https://www.dreamwidth.org/beta

It has a lovely new interface for posting. I like it a lot.

OOooh, you are right, it's looking great :D Though it's HTML only, right? I need to learn the coding for accounts and shit and make myself a HTML template for caps and artwork :D

I haven't posted with a RTE in years and years, I wouldn't know what to do with that! I'm so accustomed to pounding everything out in HTML that I even type the coding into regular documents!

Besides, the RTE on LJ inserted so much crap into the posts (like a third more additional characters) that it made posting anything long problematic.
